Welcome to the El Viento Flamenco School of Dance.

Flamenco - the dance form of the Gypsies of Southern Spain - combines grace and strength with thundering footwork. The class is an introduction to all the basic elements of footwork, arm and hand movements in relation to the traditional songs and rhythms, so that students understand how the dancing relates to the music and can take the first steps toward improvising. It enriches the students' creative and cultural experiences while developing coordination, timing and confidence.

Basic steps can be learned very easily. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

The Winter term will begin Monday, January 4, 2010 and run until Sunday, April 18, 2010 **NO CLASS Sunday January 31 or Sunday March 28.
